Discover our newest retinol-alternative, anti-aging ingredient.
Nature’s answer to anti-aging comes in the form of fresh’s new Black Tea Anti-Aging Ceramide Moisturizer. For the first time ever in this cream, fresh has introduced a naturally derived ingredient blend with a scientifically proven retinol-like performance* to help correct signs of aging: BT Matrix™. This lightweight, high-performance face cream is the perfect addition to advance any anti-aging regimen.
The inception of our new ingredient innovation comes from a longstanding love affair with tea. Our fresh founders Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg have long looked to tea as one of the most inspiring ingredients from the natural world. In ancient China, tea was a ritual and an art form. Tea is rich in polyphenols, plant compounds shown to reduce inflammation and neutralize free radical activity to improve overall health. The healing properties of the tea plant have inspired the iconic Black Tea collection. Now, our black tea extract has been taken to the next level through a synergistic infusion of rambutan leaf extract. Rambutan—a small, spiked red fruit native to southeast Asia—is rich in vitamins and minerals. When combined, black tea and rambutan leaf extracts form our exclusive BT Matrix™, proven to minimize wrinkles and improve elasticity over time to deliver smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin.
What happens to skin as we age?
As we get older, skin structure weakens due to a natural decline in collagen. 70-75% of the skin is made up of collagen. In fact, after the age of 25, collagen production can start to decrease at about 1% each year. The deceleration of collagen production is a key factor in the natural aging process. Skin structure is weakened, leading to pronounced fine lines, wrinkles, and weakened skin barrier functioning that gives way to dehydration. Maintaining skin structure is key to anti-aging and restoring youthful bounce.
Nature’s answer to anti-aging
BT Matrix™ is scientifically proven to support lost skin structure across all skin types, correcting the signs of aging that begin to appear due to a natural decline in collagen. As the lead ingredient of Black Tea Anti-Aging Ceramide Moisturizer, it’s proven to smooth the appearance of deep set wrinkles, visibly firm the skin, and improve skin elasticity all while improving radiance and skin barrier function. After 8 weeks, consumers saw 7x smoother wrinkles, 5x visibly firmer skin, and 4x more radiance.**
Powerful, retinol-like results from the fresh Research Lab
Retinol, a vitamin A derivative, is one anti-aging ingredient. Traditional retinol products cause potential irritation and harsh side effects on some users. In addition to being proven effective at correcting biomarkers of aging, BT Matrix™ is also proven to be gentle without the known discomfort typical of many retinol products. And while some retinol products can only be used in the evening or 2 to 3 times a week, this anti-aging moisturizer is gentle enough for daily use and dermatologist-tested and proven effective on all skin types*** including sensitive skin.
Strong on its own but better together
BT Matrix™ isn’t the only fresh ingredient blend to harness the power of tea to deliver proven results. Tea Elixir Serum is a skin resilience-boosting formula developed using the extract of a tea plant that thrives in the extreme conditions of Mauritius island. By capturing the adaptive power of Mauritius tea in our Adaptive Phytocompound Tea (APT) Technology™, Tea Elixir Serum is scientifically proven to help skin resist life stressors that could lead to signs of aging. To up-level your routine, we recommend applying our Tea Elixir Skin Resilience Activating Serum underneath Black Tea Anti-Aging Ceramide Moisturizer for scientifically proven smoothing benefits. Say hello to smoother, firmer, more radiant skin.
