Pamper yourself with a Sunday self-care ritual that leaves you refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready for the week ahead.

Lineup of fresh Sake Bath Soak, body scrub, shower gel and body lotion and bar soap

From comforting scents and pampering skincare to the quiet moments that work wonders for your body and soul, Sundays are the perfect days for rest, relaxation, and self-care spoils! Explore tips for creating a self-care ritual that leaves you feeling nurtured, refreshed, and ready to shine in the week ahead.

Indulge in a luxurious bath

Few things reflect pure relaxation as well as a warm, luxurious bath. Your Sunday soak should be more than just a standard wash – it should offer respite from the week that came before, and rejuvenation for the week that lies ahead. Picture yourself relaxing as the warm waters caress your skin and lift your spirit. With the delicate scent of jasmine in the air and the soft glow of candlelight filling the room, indulge in the bliss of slow Sundays.

Choose a bath soak crafted with natural elements and soothing scents to cleanse, soften, and moisturise your skin while inducing total relaxation. Our Sake Bath was inspired by the ancient beauty rituals of Japanese Geisha, formulated with natural ingredients that revitalise your skin and state of mind. Made with real sake to purify and soften the skin, alongside ginger water and apricot kernel oil for hydration, and peach leaf extract for additional soothing properties.

Complement your bath with a sumptuous body wash for an even more luscious experience. Our Hesperides Grapefruit Body Wash is a delightful blend of energising fragrance and gentle cleansing action, sure to renew both skin and spirit. You could also try the Lily Jasmine Body Wash for an alternative option with a touch of elegance. Just relax as the fragrance of the gel foam bath envelops you in its floral charm.

The art of self-massage

Maintain your serenity after your bath with a soothing self-massage. This practice deepens your usual skincare routine, inviting you to relax and reconnect with your body. It’s a simple yet effective method to alleviate stress, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and enhance an overall sense of well-being.

Start by choosing a hand and body lotion that is not only rich in moisturising agents but has a scent that delights your senses. Our Hesperides Grapefruit Body Lotion is an excellent choice; its light texture belies its power to deeply moisturise skin, leaving it velvety soft. Alternatively, our Lily Jasmine Body Lotion offers the same opulent hydration, with a distinct, equally captivating fragrance.

Start by warming a generous amount of the lotion in your hands, breathing in the scent. From there, massage your skin from your feet upwards, focusing on any tense areas like your calves and thighs. Make sure to use firm, smooth strokes, which promote good circulation and work out any muscle tension.

Next, move in gentle circles across your abdomen, from right to left, then up to the centre of your chest, spreading upwards and outwards. When you move on to your arms and hands, use the same gentle technique you used on your legs to work your way up from your wrists to your shoulders. As you apply the lotion to your arms and shoulders, take the opportunity to stretch and release any accumulated tension.

For your back and shoulders, apply a kneading motion to release any built-up tension, or if it’s more comfortable, use a massage tool to help reach those areas.

Finish your self-massage by focusing on your neck and the base of your skull, areas that often harbour tension. Use gentle, upward strokes and breathe deeply to release. Take your time with each movement, treating every part of your body with kindness and care.

Setting aside time for a face mask

On the busy days – which come around more often than not – we tend to rush through our skincare routines, simply slapping on the essentials as we dash out the door. But, on Sundays, we have the time to slow down and really care for our skin. It’s the perfect day for a face mask, like our Floral Recovery Calming Mask. Infused with a bouquet of flower extracts that soothe and rejuvenate, it's gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types.

As you relax, the blend of passionflower, peony, cornflower, and cherry blossom works its magic on your stressed-out skin. These pure flower extracts are known to reduce irritation and redness, revealing a soothed, radiant, and balanced complexion that mirrors your inner calm.

Personalise your self-care routine

At fresh, we believe in crafting experiences that revitalise both the body and the mind. That’s why, for us, self-care Sundays are about more than just skincare; they’re about creating moments that reconnect you with yourself and your peace of mind. Whether that means cocooning on the couch, seeking adventure, or spending cherished moments with loved ones. Every Sunday can be a new chapter, so be sure to include activities that give you what you need to enter the new week with your head held high.

Make your day of self-care your own by selecting nourishing activities to suit your mood. You may want to:

  • Take a walk: Take the time to get out into nature (protected by a good sunscreen), and bask in the beauty of the world around you. After all, a leisurely walk in the fresh air can be as restorative as a spa day. This is actually the premise behind a Japanese concept known as shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, which highlights nature’s ability to elevate your mood and reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety.
  • Calm your mind by getting lost in a good story: There’s nothing quite like a good book or your favourite TV series to take you away from the everyday and give your mind some time to rest. Set aside time to explore a different world in a new book or zone out to your favourite movie or TV show – it’s like a mini-holiday for your brain.
  • Connect with your friends: We all have that one friend who makes us feel supported, cared for, and loved. Give them a call – it's good for your well-being! Research has even linked meaningful relationships to longer lives, so it’s worth investing time into those chats.
  • Treat yourself to your favourite meal: Making a meal that’s both tasty and healthy is a great way to look after yourself. So slow down, enjoy the process of cooking, and savour the result at the end. Remember, though, that self-care is about doing what you feel you need. So, if you’re not feeling up to cooking, it’s perfectly fine to treat yourself to a takeaway as well.
  • Tidy for tranquillity:Cleaning might not be everyone’s idea of relaxation, but a neat space can really help clear your mind. You don’t have to do a deep clean – just a quick tidy-up can make a big difference to how you feel.

Your Sunday routine is an invitation to honour your needs. Whether it’s enjoying quiet time alone or cherishing moments with family and friends, the aim is clear: to revitalise your energy and care for your outer and inner wellbeing.
